The days go by and today we are closing two weeks in Switzerland. It was pretty exciting time for us, many new discoveries :)

Couple of days ago we met another couple, she is from Israel as well and he is local. They suggested that we go to Evian and cross the border to eat some ice cream. Of course we agreed, I mean its pretty cool to say: "yeah we ate ice cream in France today" isn't it?

People who live in Europe probably wouldn't understand the excitement, but for us who came from a country where borders are real borders where crossing them might end up pretty bad it was quite exciting experience :)

First week in Switzerland

New place, new life and new adventures.

We landed last week in Geneva and took the train here to Lausanne. The trains are quiet, fast and accurate.

Unlike the Israeli trains in so many ways =/

The apartment we received is beautiful and really way better than what we were expecting.

The location is great, we are close to the Metro station and two different buses are going to my husband's work.

Unlike what we are used to (late opening hours and huge supermarkets) the Swiss grocery shops are working until 19:00 and most of the bars\restaurants are all closed after that time too.

The supermarkets are small, don't have a lot offering and the prices are High!

Of course everything is relative so I guess that after a few weeks here the things won't look that expensive..

My husband is at work while I'm trying to adjust to the new environment. I need to learn the french names of the basic groceries so I would actually know what I'm buying and not guessing around :) Also I need to learn french in general because I really want to communicate with the locals and learn more about their lifestyle.
